ATRA Local Shop’s Community Work on Star Website

Local Auto Repair Shop to Help Girl Scouts Earn Badges at Clinic

Ventura, Calif. – DMC Transmissions is partnering with the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA) to conduct the Community Car Care Clinic on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., and is free to the general public. DMC Transmissions is a certified ATRA member. The clinic will take place at their shop, located at 2325 E Thompson Blvd., Ventura, CA, 93003.

The clinic will feature two main presentations:

• Ventura County Sheriff’s Department’s automobile care tutorial: local officers will help Girl Scout Troop 60343 earn their car care badges

• DMC owner, Donny Caccamise, and his team on transmission repair: will include time for a Q & A session

“We are happy to partner with DMC in this endeavor,” said ATRA CEO, Dennis Madden. “We are always looking for opportunities to get involved with our community and provide them with valuable information for servicing their vehicles, and to share ATRA’s services with them.”

ATRA will have a table set up at the clinic to help educate attendees about their services. ATRA consists of 1,900 shops that provide a “Peace of Mind” guarantee, ensuring each one of its members that their car is covered under warranty by an ATRA shop in North America, whenever the need arises. Other Ventura ATRA members (All About Transmissions, Dave Wilkes Transmissions, The Trans Clinic) and Oxnard members (Leon’s Transmission, Steve Transmission, Inc) will also be in attendance.
