Blood drive planned for Wednesday

The Ventura County Credit Union will host a blood drive Wednesday in cooperation with United Blood Services from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its office, 6026 Telephone Road.
The drive will support the needs of United Blood Services.
Founded in 1943 as the Salt River Valley Blood Bank in Phoenix, United Blood Services is a nonprofit that provides blood, blood components and special services to patients in more than 500 hospitals in 18 states, according to its website.
