Mustang Munchies: Week 13

Every Tuesday, the Mustang staff eats lunch together at a local restaurant that falls in the price range of about $10 per person. For 2012, we’ve decided to try a new restaurant every Tuesday. Yep, that’s 52 different restaurants to try this year!

Many of the Mustang employees had already eaten at Ranch Hand BBQ, but by popular demand, we revisited the tiny restaurant on Mustang Munchies Tuesday.

Specializing in tri-tip and pulled pork meals, the team indulged in sandwiches, salads—even macaroni and cheese—all with extra sauce added generously out of plastic squirt bottles.

With the exception of soggy fries in one case and an unsatisfying garlic roll in another, the entire team had little to complain about.

“It was a really good lunch,” Randall said of his pulled pork sandwich. “It’s hard to find decent to-go barbecue places, but this one is tasty.”

Michael agreed with Randall’s assessment, having thoroughly enjoyed this tri-tip sandwich. “It blew Wood Ranch’s BBQ sauce out of the water,” he added.

“It was my favorite Tuesday lunch place so far,” Chris happily said after finishing his pulled pork salad.

The Mustang team will surely be moseying on back to Ranch Hand BBQ in the future. The restaurant earned a 4 m rating.
