Every Tuesday, the Mustang staff eats lunch together at a local restaurant that falls in the price range of about $10 per person. For 2012, we’ve decided to try a new restaurant every Tuesday. Yep, that’s 52 different restaurants to try this year!
What drew the Mustang team to Red Robin for this Tuesday’s lunch wasn’t the promise of classic American burgers…it was the bottomless root beer floats.
Needless to say, these delectable drinks were the main reason Red Robin’s scores reached an average level.
“I didn’t come for the burgers,” Scott said, “I came for the floats and the conversation.”
The seven team members were all in agreement with Scott’s assessment. In addition to consuming about two gallons of root beer, the team spent more time laughing than chewing.
“I missed these people so much,” said Ginny, who’d just returned to California from Michigan. “The food is always secondary to the fun I have at these lunches.”
Chris tried to make Ginny feel more at home by asking the waitress to divide the check separately for each person (which is how it’s done in Michigan). Unfortunately, this act isn’t California’s strong point – the check was split in two instead of seven.
While the conversation exceeded a 5, the Red Robin meals received a 3m rating.
