Wedgewood Wedding & Banquet Center – The Perfect Fit
There’s no magic button to take all the stress out of weddings, but Wedgewood Wedding & Banquet Center works to absorb as much of that stress as possible with their all-inclusive event packages, letting brides (and the occasional groom) pick and choose what they want their individual wedding package to look like.
That all sounds good, but as one prepares for a wedding, you’re often surrounded by advice, ads and arguments, and the worthy work of Wedgewood can fall on overstuffed ears. So we went for the eyes: an animated video to show and tell how much easier it is to plan a wedding with Wedgewood on your side.
A couple members of the Mustang team got together with pen and paper, and one fruitful brainstorming session later we had a script and a storyboard to present to the clients. We received thumbs-up all around, so it was time to kick-start production.
Once you get to the part where you have to turn your storyboard ideas into animation, the video can begin to take on a life of its own. Suddenly, our script couldn’t always keep up with the video, or a scene took longer than expected. Fortunately, we had the client’s confidence by our side, and knew the tone we wanted to strike, and were able to make off-the-cuff additions and subtractions to the script to match the (adorable) animation we created.
The video provided the creative marketing twist Wedgewood president Bill Zaruka was looking for, and helped to kick-start a new era of Mustang marketing collateral: the video.
