(CALABASAS, California – August 21, 2012) – Equis Staffing continues to grow as it ranks 1027 (up from 1427 in 2011) on Inc. magazine’s 31st annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a comprehensive look at the most important segment of America’s economy—independent entrepreneurs and small business owners. Well-known companies, such as Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit, Zipcar and Oracle, gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500|5000.

To be eligible, companies had to have achieved a minimum of 770% in sales growth. The companies on this year’s list employ more than 48,000 people and generated more than 40,000 jobs in the past three years. The aggregate revenue is $15.7 billion, with a median three-year growth of 1,431%.

Methodology
The 2012 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2008 to 2011. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2008. They had to be U.S. based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2011.
