Scott Harris got his hands dirty this morning at the Gold Coast Recycling & Transfer Station, thanks to the Ventura County Economic Development Association.
As he sifted through trash, Scott learned a few things—like the complexity of the recycling process, the shocking amount of trash produced and the efforts necessary for the recycling scope to continue to achieve “Zero Waste.”
Luckily, Gold Coast sees a dramatically larger amount of recyclable items than non-recyclable trash. The Mustang staff was proud to learn that they live and work in the most progressive county in California, since Gold Coast stays ahead of recycling laws.
