THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (May 9, 2016) – Mustang Marketing, the largest full-service marketing agency in Ventura County, announces Chris Barrett as its new vice president. Promoted from account director, Barrett will continue to oversee all of Mustang’s major client partnerships while providing high-level, strategic supervision of the agency’s staff and creative output.
Since joining Mustang in 2007 as a graphic designer, Barrett’s career was quickly elevated to creative director — a position he held at the agency from 2009-2015. In 2015, Chris was promoted to be Mustang’s account director. Today, on the heels of his eighth anniversary with the company, Barrett continues to help Mustang achieve increases in revenue along with recognition from the American Advertising (ADDY) Awards and GDUSA American Graphic Design Awards as its vice president.
“Chris’ commitment to our clients, coupled with his eye for design and strategic mindset, have made him an integral part of the Mustang family,” said founder and president, Scott Harris. “As Mustang continues to grow and expand, Chris and his abilities seem to evolve right alongside it, ensuring that the company maintains its philosophy of ‘strategically driven creative’ for every client and every project.”
Barrett succeeds Dianne McKay as Mustang’s vice president, after McKay recently stepped into the role of partner and chief operating officer for the agency.
“Chris brings a unique blend of design expertise, strategic planning skills and communicative strength to Mustang, which has helped build and maintain lasting relationships with our clients,” said McKay. “At Mustang, we pride ourselves on producing partnerships focused on strategy and longevity, not one-off projects. Chris’ skill sets are a great match, bringing quality marketing campaigns with the best return on investment for our clients.”
A Ventura County native, Barrett and his wife Natalie reside in Moorpark with their two-year-old twins Zack and Carrie.
