THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (Sept. 28, 2016) – Mustang Marketing, an award-winning, full-service marketing agency, announces Ward Woods as its new creative director. In this capacity, Woods is to supervise the agency’s creative team, which includes graphic designers, website developers and copywriters.
Woods received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design from Colorado State University. With more than a decade of graphic design experience, Woods has continued to hone his craft in a variety of creative leadership roles. He has served in positions such as marketing director, senior art director and associate creative director. Woods even owned and managed his own creative studio for several years before joining Mustang.
“Mustang has been delivering high-quality creative design and innovative marketing strategies for more than 30 years,” said Vice President Chris Barrett, who has been with Mustang for nearly eight years, previously serving as creative director, and advises Woods in his new role. “To remain thought leaders in our industry, we’ve had to evolve and adopt new approaches as marketing vehicles continue to develop and change. Holding a wide range of creative skills, Woods’ design specialties include logo and brand creation, advertising, website development (including knowledge of HTML, CSS and other coding languages), packaging design, and trade show mapping. In his career progression, Woods has gravitated toward positions focused on team collaboration –– such as supervising creative staff and mentoring and training team members as well as managing budgets, timelines and projects.
